In addition to her legal work, Immi was a Board Member of the South Asian Women’s Centre in Toronto and a former member and co-chair of the South Asian Legal Clinic (Ontario). In 2002-2003 Immi worked abroad in East Africa at the Zanzibar Legal Services Centre in a Professional Internship Program administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Immi has completed a B.A. in Honours Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario. Immi Sikand is licenced to practice law in Ontario, Canada.

Immi Sikand has worked exclusively in the area of Citizenship and Immigration Law since 1999. She represents a broad range of clientele, including individuals, small businesses and corporations, providing knowledgeable and efficient legal services in Canadian and US based immigration matters.

Her experience includes working at a large immigration law firm in Toronto for several years, practicing immigration law in the busiest US-Canada port of entry city, as well as traveling overseas to meet with clients. Immi has testified in family court regarding the impact of a spousal sponsorship undertakings and has been interviewed by newspapers, web magazines and on television addressing a broad range of immigration issues.
